The Garden
We have a large cottage garden with a fishpond and a stream where guests often sit watching the wildlife in and around the pond. Red Kites are seen most days soaring overhead in our garden and fields surrounding the cottage. Adjoining the garden there is a small paddock, where at the bottom Harpers Brook runs by, often frequented by kingfishers. The paddock where we grow fruit and vegetables for our own and guests use is home to our chickens who keep us supplied with fresh eggs. Also in the paddock we have a small orchard where we grow old varieties of apple trees which we press to make our cottage cider. The gardens are backed by open countryside with Harpers Brook running by at the bottom. Guests are free to enjoy our garden, weather permitting
